Itineraries

Start with where you are going. Then build the days around it.

Outrouted begins with the shape of the trip: destinations, order, time and budget. Once the route holds together it becomes an itinerary you can keep editing without losing sight of the whole trip.

Nights before hours.

An itinerary is mostly a question of how long you stay. Outrouted sets nights per stop first and keeps their total equal to the length of the trip, so the days you plan inside it are days you actually have.

The plan stays attached to the map.

Stops, days and the bed for each night are all read off one route. Open a stop and you get what is inside it: where you sleep, what the day holds, anything already booked.

Editable, and it stays that way.

Every change is a line in the route's log. Nothing is re-planned behind your back, so you can make five edits and then decide whether the whole thing needs rebuilding.

Do not plan hour by hour in March.

The trip you plan in spring is not the trip you take in September. Get the route and the nights right, keep the days loose, and fill them in when the opening hours and the weather are real.

Saved trips

The ones worth keeping

A saved trip keeps its route, its dates and the people you shared it with. Free keeps one. Paid plans keep as many as you want to compare.

Questions

Itinerary questions

Do I get a day-by-day plan?

You get a route with nights per stop and what there is to do at each one, readable by day or by stop. It is an itinerary. The difference is that the route came first.

Can I export it?

On a paid plan, yes: a calendar file with one all-day event per stop, plus a print view. The events are all-day on purpose, because a made-up 15:00 check-in reads as a fact.

What happens to my itinerary if the route changes?

The nights re-spread so the total still matches your trip, a stay you pinned keeps its dates, and every stop keeps somewhere to sleep. Your stops are never rearranged for you.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free plans one trip and shows all three routes read-only. Editing them and keeping more than one are paid.

Get the route right, then worry about Tuesday.

Free to plan. The first three routes arrive priced.
