Travel plans look fine as a list and fall apart on a map. Outrouted shows every stop together, lets you compare orders, and treats the travel between them as part of the plan rather than something to work out nearer the time.

Route first, days later.

Most planners start at day one and work forward. Outrouted starts with the shape: which places, in what order, how long in each. Get that right and the days inside it are easy. Do it the other way round and a beautiful day two ends up attached to a route that never made sense.

The order is the decision.

Five stops can be arranged a hundred and twenty ways and most of those waste a day. The planner proposes an order, shows the legs it produces, and lets you drag stops until you like it better.

Change it and see the consequence.

Move a stop and the distances, the drive times and the total move with it. The budget recomputes on every read because that arithmetic is local and free; the route is rebuilt only when you ask, because that part costs real work.

A map is an argument you can check.

The route planner displays every destination together and prices the alternatives, so the order of stops becomes something you compare instead of something you hope about.

Route planning, answered

What is Outrouted?: A map-first travel planner for trips with more than one stop. You give it places, dates or a length, who is going and a budget. It gives back complete routes: stops, their order, nights in each, the legs between them and a total.
Is this an itinerary generator?: Not really. It solves the route first and the days afterwards. You do get a full itinerary out of it, but the thing being worked out is the shape of the trip rather than the prose of a day plan.
Does the route follow real roads?: No, and it is worth saying plainly. Road distance is the straight line between two stops with a detour factor applied, and time comes from an average speed. Good enough to pace a trip, not a substitute for a navigation app.
Can I edit what it gives me?: All of it. Add stops, drop them, reorder them, change nights, swap hotels. Rebuilding the route never adds, drops or reorders the stops you chose, because those are the decisions you have been making.
